The Kemayoran Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit, Central Jakarta has started building a gutter in Taman Marto, Jalan Sunter Kemayoran, RW 09, Kebon Kosong Urban Village.

It is built to 22 meters long wit 60 centimeters wide and 30 centimeters high

Kemayoran Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit, Rumondang Tambunan said, it was carried out to anticipate flooding and to smoothen the flow of water to Sunter River.

"It is built to 22 meters long wit 60 centimeters wide and 30 centimeters high," he expressed, Wednesday (11/17).

He said, its existence would be used to accommodate garbage when it enters the gutter. This work involved seven personnel using manual tools such as crowbars, buckets, sacks, etc.

"It has been carried out since Friday and needs four days for completion. We have spent 40 sandbags and five sacks of cement. The gutter wall uses paving blocks left over from road repairs," he stated.

Hopefully, it could smoothen the flow of water, especially during heavy rains and minimize flooding.
